Bird e-scooters now available at INDIGO parking locations

Toronto-based Bird Canada and INDIGO Canada, are pleased to announce the launch of their national partnership, which provides dockless scooters for pickup at selected INDIGO locations, as well as local charging sites for e-scooter infrastructure. Committed to partnering with mobility businesses that allow users to do more from one parking location, INDIGO has teamed up with Bird to make it easier to access Bird’s innovative soft mobility solutions and help them deliver an eco-friendly way for people to travel for work, school and leisure in cities across Canada that include Calgary, Edmonton, Okotoks, Ottawa, Red Deer and Windsor.

Local charging stations within INDIGO parking facilities will allow Bird to further improve the sustainability of its operational footprint. Local teams on foot in Ottawa and Calgary will distribute and then collect scooters surrounding INDIGO and Bird charging sites, eliminating the reliance on gas-powered vehicles for logistics. This significant investment is part of Bird Canada’s strategy to create permanent local infrastructure that enables fully green operations long-term.

With this national partnership INDIGO confirms its positioning as a leading provider of parking amenities and individual mobility solutions, which illustrates its purpose to support the development of “smart” cities by capitalizing on its nationwide network of connected facilities in Canada. This partnership is fully aligned with the INDIGO Group strategy for enabling new mobility services and solutions, as well as bicycle parking facilities and EV charging solutions. INDIGO has a proven experience in soft mobility and digital solutions that promote a stress-free journey, in alignment with its purpose “Opening Space for Peaceful City Motion”.
